Tying the Knot Between Archive- and Question-Driven Research: A Union between Two Models for Sustainable AI Integration in Japanese Studies

Together with Tianyuan Huang (Tohoku University), I presented this poster at JADH 2026, the 15th Annual Conference of the Japanese Association for Digital Humanities, held September 12–13, 2026 at Kyushu University in Fukuoka. The poster brings together an archive-driven model and a question-driven model of research to propose a sustainable path for integrating AI into Japanese Studies. I also chaired Session 5B, “Research Infrastructure and Data Curation”, on September 13.
