Plenary Session: The Future of Tibetan Translation in the Age of AI

I took part in the plenary session “The Future of Tibetan Translation in the Age of AI” at the 17th Seminar of the International Association for Tibetan Studies (IATS 2026), chaired by Casey Forgues and Zack Beer (Khyentse Vision Project). My contribution, “Dharmamitra: AI Infrastructure for Buddhist Texts”, gave an overview of what Dharmamitra offers for Tibetan translation, deep research, semantic search, the Dharmamitra DB of parallel sentences, and OCR. The seminar was originally planned for Kathmandu and was held online.
